Solve simple logic puzzles with objects

Students were introduced to "rows" and "columns" in a grid.

Students were given a simplified Sudoku puzzle using a three by three grid and three different colors. Students were told to color the boxes in a way that the same color doesn't appear in the same row or column.

Students solved a logic puzzle problem in which they were given verbal clues and used process of elimination to figure out which person has which pet.

Students hid a stuffed animal in the room and used verbal clues to explain where the stuffed animal was. They also learned to ask questions about where the stuffed animal could be hidden. (i.e. is it under a table? Is it closer to the teacher or a student?)
